DroneSky.digital – An international ZIM innovation network for transforming air traffic
With the ongoing integration of drones into global airspace, a new era of air transport is dawning. The international ZIM innovation network DroneSky.Digital has set itself the goal of improving and shaping efficiency, safety and sustainability in global aviation through innovative technologies and digital solutions. In collaboration with German and Dutch partners, the network promotes the use of drones in various areas of application and develops future-oriented solutions for aviation.
A cross-border cooperation for innovation
DroneSky.Digital combines the expertise of small and medium-sized enterprises and research institutions from Germany and the Netherlands. The partners are working together to develop technologies that will shape the next generation of air transport. Particular attention is being paid to developing business potential for the EU market, especially in the area of the future unified U-space, which will enable companies to take on sovereign tasks to secure drone airspace.
Innovative technologies and the future of air transport
DroneSky.Digital focuses on new approaches to create innovative solutions for the EU-wide use of U-Space airspace. The focus is on technological innovations that significantly increase the efficiency and safety of drone use. These innovations include advanced communication technologies, precise sensor technology and optimised flight control and navigation systems. The integration of state-of-the-art digital applications and embedded systems significantly improves the performance of the drones.
The network is driving the development of products that not only make air travel safer and faster, but also open up new commercial opportunities, from logistics to infrastructure monitoring. Interdisciplinary approaches and cross-border cooperation create new opportunities for companies to use innovative drone technologies efficiently and economically.
